Head Spa FAQ

1. Will I leave with wet hair after my Head Spa?

Yes! You will leave with damp hair for two reasons:

  • At the end of the service, we apply a customized scalp treatment that should remain on for at least 6 hours to maximize benefits. Using heat from a blow dryer would disrupt this process.

  • In the state of Connecticut, we are not licensed to perform blow-drying services at this time.

2. Can I get the treatment if I’ve recently dyed my hair?

We recommend waiting at least one week after coloring your hair before scheduling your Head Spa. This ensures your color has fully set and allows us to give your scalp the best possible treatment.

3. What if I have hair extensions?

Currently, we do not perform the Japanese Head Spa scalp service on clients with extensions. This is to avoid disrupting the integrity of your extensions and to ensure you receive the full benefit of the treatment.

4. How long does the Japanese Head Spa treatment take?

Most sessions last about 60–75 minutes, depending on your customized treatment plan. This includes scalp analysis, cleansing, massage, masks, and leave-in treatment.

5. Will this treatment help with scalp concerns like dryness, itchiness, or buildup?

Yes! Each Head Spa is tailored to your scalp needs—whether you struggle with dryness, oiliness, dandruff, or buildup. The deep cleanse and targeted products restore balance and promote a healthier scalp.

6. Can this treatment help with hair growth?

While results vary, regular scalp treatments can improve circulation, remove buildup, and create a healthier environment for hair growth. Many clients notice improvement in overall scalp and hair health with consistency.

7. How often should I schedule a Japanese Head Spa?

We recommend starting with a monthly treatment for best results, especially if you’re addressing specific scalp concerns. For maintenance and relaxation, every 4–6 weeks is ideal.
